The Dakota House is where the PNW Uplift story began. In October 2024, this home became the foundation of our vision for creating safe, supportive, and quality recovery housing in the Eugene community. Located in the Bethel area of West Eugene, the Dakota House continues to hold a special place in the heart of PNW Uplift.
The home features nine beds in total and offers a unique layout that sets it apart from our other recovery homes. Four of the bedrooms are designed with single beds, providing residents with the opportunity to have their own private sleeping space. The house also features a split layout, creating distinct living areas within the home and offering residents a comfortable balance of community and personal space.
From the beginning, the Dakota House was designed to be more than simply a place to live. It was the starting point for PNW Uplift’s belief that recovery housing should provide stability, structure, accountability, and a sense of belonging. The home has been part of countless first steps, residents arriving ready for a fresh start, building relationships, developing healthy routines, and beginning to envision a different future.
As the first PNW Uplift home, the Dakota House represents where it all started. What began with one home in October 2024 has grown into a larger commitment to providing dependable recovery housing and creating environments where people can find the support they need to move forward in recovery.
The Dakota House will always be more than the first house, it is the home that gave PNW Uplift its beginning and continues to represent the heart of what we are working to build.
