The Grant House

Located in the heart of Eugene near 18th and Chambers, the Grant House holds an important place in the history and future of PNW Uplift. Purchased in February 2025, it was the second home added to the PNW Uplift family. The house spent the next six months undergoing repairs and improvements before welcoming its first residents in August 2025.

The Grant House is our smallest home, but what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in heart. Situated on a large double lot, the property offers both a comfortable home for its current residents and exciting possibilities for the future.

One of the highlights of the property is the residents’ summer garden. Throughout the growing season, the garden provides fresh fruits and vegetables for the house, giving residents an opportunity to work together, enjoy the outdoors, and take pride in growing something they can share. The garden has become another reflection of the community at the Grant House, residents working together, taking care of something, and enjoying the rewards of their efforts.

What makes the Grant House truly special, however, is the close-knit community that has developed within its walls. Residents have a strong commitment to one another and to helping others who are walking the same path. There is a genuine belief in giving people a second chance, meeting them where they are, and encouraging them to believe that a different future is possible.

The sense of community at the Grant House is something we are especially proud of. Residents look out for one another, celebrate each other’s successes, and understand that recovery is not something anyone has to navigate alone. Their willingness to extend grace, support, and a second chance to others reflects the heart of what PNW Uplift is all about.

The large double lot also represents an important part of our vision for the future. As the need for quality recovery housing continues to grow in our community, we hope to eventually develop multiple housing units on the property. Our goal is to use this space to provide even more safe, stable, and supportive recovery housing for people in need.

The Grant House may be our smallest home, but it has already made a big impact. It represents the power of community, the importance of second chances, and our continued vision to expand recovery housing throughout the Eugene area, one home, one garden, and one person at a time.
