The Stark House

The Stark House joined the PNW Uplift family in August 2025 and brought a unique setup to our growing recovery housing community. Located in the Santa Clara neighborhood of North Eugene, this six-bedroom, three-bathroom home sits on a quiet cul-de-sac and offers residents a comfortable place to call home while working toward their recovery goals.

What makes the Stark House unique is its split living arrangement. The home provides housing for both women and men, with the women residing upstairs and the men downstairs. This layout allows the home to accommodate both while maintaining separate living spaces and a sense of privacy and comfort for everyone.

One of the biggest highlights of the Stark House is its large kitchen and adjoining back patio area. In many ways, this is the heart of the home. It is where residents naturally gather in the evenings to cook, share meals, talk, laugh, and build the connections that make recovery housing feel like a community rather than simply a place to live.

And if you don’t want cravings, don’t stop by around dinner time! The kitchen has become known for the meals that come out of it, and the smells drifting through the house are often enough to make anyone wish they had been invited to dinner.

More than anything, the Stark House reflects what PNW Uplift hopes to create in every home: a safe and dependable environment where residents can develop healthy routines, form meaningful connections, and experience the everyday moments of community that make recovery possible.

Since joining PNW Uplift in 2025, the Stark House has become another important piece of our growing story and a place where recovery, friendship, and some seriously good food come together.
